Rev. Dr. Danny's Sermon 02-12-12 - “The Power of Choice”
In this passage, Jesus chooses to heal a leper. As humans, we too have the freedom to choose. We can choose hope, health, love, and light; or…So, what will we choose? And what informs our choices, anyway?
Rev. Dr. Danny's Sermon 02-26-12 - “Forty Days With God: Treading Water”
Ever feel like you’re treading water? Noah probably did—his world was flooded (either literally or allegorically)—still, by listening to the Holy Within, Noah and his family made it through their time of flood and were able to rebuild their lives.

Rev. Dr. Danny's Sermon 03-04-12 - “Forty Days with God: Radiant Lives”
Scripture records that when Moses came down from the mountain after some alone time with God his face shone brightly—and he didn’t even know it! What was it about that encounter with God that made Moses so radiant? How can our encounters with the Divine make our lives radiant, as well?
Rev. Dr. Danny's Sermon 03-11-12 - “Forty Days with God: Positively Fierce!”
In this story, the Hebrew scouts return with a good news/bad news report about Canaan. The good news is its everything God said it was. The bad news is its occupied by “fierce giants.” How do we handle the good news/bad news scenarios of our lives? Do we spread “negative reports” about the situation like the scouts, or are we positively fierce in our desire to move forward in positive ways?

Rev. Dr. Danny's Sermon 03-18-12 - “Forty Days with God: Giving Up Lent”
In this reading we find the prophet Elijah ready to give up. On the run and out of energy, Elijah prays for death. God sends food instead. What are our energy sources in trying times—those sources that lead us from the wilderness where we battle—or try to run from—our demons. How do we make it to “the mountain of God?”

Rev. Dr. Danny's Sermon 04-15-12 - “A Socialist Faith”
Mention universal health care to an economically-conservative person, and chances are you’ll hear the word “socialism” hissed in reply. Even a lot of Christians share this viewpoint. Guess they didn’t read about the earliest Christian communities in Acts…
